TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Welcome to Ref4Me – The following brief synopsis for both Referees & Managers is designed as a quick reference for users and is also detailed in the app, the Principal Terms & Conditions follow and are secondary to this ‘Things You Need To Know’ section.
Things You Need to Know
Referees:
Eligibility – Only referees who are qualified, authorised and registered with a County FA are able to use Ref 4 Me.

Data Validation – Registration for Ref 4 Me will be subject to County FA checking and validation. This may delay you getting started with us, but its an important step to ensure only those who have met the standards get the games.

Age Restrictions – We take your safety seriously. Any qualified referee can use Ref 4 Me, however if you aren’t quite 18 years of age yet, we will need a Parent/Guardian consent. They will also have clone access to your account.

Contact Details - At the time of booking, you will receive a text message and an email with the Team Managers contact details. They will receive yours as well, and we will leave it with you to liaise with each with any questions you may have.

Manager Ratings – At the end of each match, we’ll ask you to complete a short questionnaire on the Fixture and the Booking Manager and give them a rating. Future referees will see this rating on the Managers profile. Please be fair and honest. NB: Managers will not be rating you on Ref 4 Me.

Payment – We will not be collecting your Match Fee for you. The Team Manager will need to pay you on Match Day. Don’t forget to collect!

Updating your details - Our system is smart, but it's not a mind reader! If your address or contact details change, or you get promoted to a higher level, please update them in your profile so we can keep matching you to the right games.

Safeguarding - We have a Safeguarding Policy which you can review at www.ref4me.co.uk. If you have any safeguarding concerns whatsoever, we strongly encourage you to contact the Safeguarding Officer at your Parent County FA.

Full Terms and Conditions - To use Ref 4 Me, you must review and agree to our full Terms and Conditions which are available at www.ref4me.co.uk. At all times, we retain the right to terminate your account if you have breached our Terms and Conditions.

Team Managers (and/or those requiring a referee):
Referee Qualification – Only referees who are qualified, authorised and registered with a County FA are able to use Ref4Me.

Contact Details – At the time of booking, we will send you an email with the Referee’s contact details (or, in the event they are under 18, you will receive the Parent/Guardian contact details). They will receive yours as well, and we will leave it with you to liaise with each other if needed.

Manager Ratings – At the end of each match, the Referee will be completing a short questionnaire and giving a rating. Future referees will see this rating on your profile. You can continue to provide your rating on the referee in the usual way (ie on The FA’s Matchday app).

Referee Match Fees – You will need to pay the referee on the day of the match in the normal way. Don’t forget!

Cost to Book a Referee – We will always tell you how much the Booking Fee is before you book. We will email you a tax invoice monthly to claim back any fees from your club.

Booking Fees – In order to use Ref4Me, we will require a valid Direct Debit Mandate from your UK bank account to be held. Your registration may be delayed a few days while this is being set up. We will debit your account once a month for the costs you have accrued that month (including any additional charges for failed direct debit etc).

Refunds – Unfortunately, we can’t refund Booking Fees for cancelled matches, a Referee who is unwell on match day etc. These things are outside of our control. If we’ve done something wrong however, then let us know! However…

Order of Precedence – Unfortunately there will be occasions when under the FA’s Order of Precedence, the County FA may reallocate the referee you have booked to a County Cup match. If this happens, we suggest re-posting your match and getting in touch with us for a credit to your account.
